Before you start memorizing the Quran, there are a few things you should do. First, have a pure intention. Then, make sure you have a solid grasp of the Arabic language to understand the words. Now, let’s go through this strategy for memorizing faster:
Sit in a Quiet Place
Find a quiet place without distractions to focus better.
Set a Timer
Set a timer for 10 minutes. The goal is to eventually memorize a page in 5 minutes, but it takes practice.
Recite the Whole Page Out Loud
Read the entire page aloud once or twice, paying close attention to each word.
Focus on Memorizing Ayah by Ayah
Repeat a single ayah at least 5 or 6 times until you have it memorized. Don’t skip without reviewing what you’ve memorized.
Listen to the Recitation
Listening to the Quran multiple times helps with memorization. Choose audio material with excellent pronunciation, especially if Arabic is not your first language.
