Often we hear that someone somewhere has memorized the entire Quran in just 1 year, or in just a few months. While this is truly a commendable achievement we need to keep in mind that the Sahabas took their time to memorize the Quran. They wouldn’t memorize the Quran just for the sake of memorization rather they would properly understand and implement each and every verse before moving on to the next verse. This type of memorization can take many years but in the end, it is what gives the Quran the time and effort that is due to it.
