Quran Text — Ar-Rahman
55:1 The Compassionate.
55:2 He taught the Quran.
55:3 He created the human being.
55:4 And He taught him eloquence.
55:5 The sun and the moon adhere to calculations.
55:6 The stars and the trees prostrate.
55:7 He raised the sky and established the balance.
55:8 So don’t upset the balance.
55:9 Maintain the weight with justice, and don’t fall short in the balance.
55:10 He spread out the earth for all creatures.
55:11 Within it are fruits and date palms bearing clusters of date.
55:12 And grains within husks, and aromatic herbs.
55:13 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:14 He created man from clay, akin to pottery.
55:15 And He created the jinn from a scorching flame of fire.
55:16 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:17 Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests.
55:18 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:19 He released the two seas, meeting side by side.
55:20 Between them is a barrier they don’t transgress.
55:21 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:22 From both of them emerge pearls and coral.
55:23 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:24 His are the ships, towering on the sea like landmarks.
55:25 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:26 Everyone on it will perish.
55:27 Only the presence of your Lord, full of majesty and honor, will remain.
55:28 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:29 Everyone in the heavens and earth asks of Him. Every day, He is engaged in some affair.
55:30 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:31 We will attend to you, O prominent species.
55:32 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:33 O congregation of jinn and humans, if you can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, then pass. However, you can’t pass without authorization.
55:34 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:35 You’ll be bombarded with a shower of flames and smoke, and you won’t succeed.
55:36 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:37 When the sky is ripped apart, and it becomes a rose, like paint.
55:38 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:39 On that Day, no man or jinn will be asked about his sins.
55:40 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:41 The guilty will be recognized by their marks, and they’ll be seized by the forelocks and the feet.
55:42 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:43 This is Hell, which the guilty denied.
55:44 They will circulate between it and a seething bath.
55:45 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:46 But for anyone who fears standing before his Lord, there are two Gardens.
55:47 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:48 Brimming with variety.
55:49 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:50 In them, two springs are flowing.
55:51 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:52 In them is every kind of fruit in pairs.
55:53 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:54 Reclining on couches lined with brocade, the fruit of the two Gardens near at hand.
55:55 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:56 Within them are maidens, restraining their glances, whom before them no man or jinni has deflowered.
55:57 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:58 As if they were rubies and coral.
55:59 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:60 Is there any reward for Good—other than Good?
55:61 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:62 Beyond these, there exist two more gardens.
55:63 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:64 Intensely dark green.
55:65 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:66 Within them, two springs gushing abundantly.
55:67 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:68 In them are fruits, date palms, and pomegranates.
55:69 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:70 In them are good and beautiful women.
55:71 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:72 With captivating eyes, secluded within pavilions.
55:73 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:74 Untouched before by either man or jinn.
55:75 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:76 Reclining on green cushions and splendid carpets.
55:77 So, which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny?
55:78 Blessed is the name of your Lord, possessor of Majesty and Honor.
