Quran Text — At-Takwir

81:1 When the sun is wrapped up.

81:2 When the stars are darkened.

81:3 When the mountains are set in motion.

81:4 When the relationships are severed.

81:5 When the beasts are gathered together.

81:6 When the seas are set aflame.

81:7 When the souls are paired.

81:8 When the female, buried alive, is asked.

81:9 For what sin was she put to death?

81:10 When the pages are spread open.

81:11 When the sky is peeled away.

81:12 When Hell is set ablaze.

81:13 And when Paradise is brought near.

81:14 Each soul will know what it has prepared.

81:15 So, I swear by the receding stars.

81:16 The moving ones that vanish.

81:17 And by the night as it settles.

81:18 And by the dawn as it breathes.

81:19 Indeed, it is the speech of a noble messenger.

81:20 Possessed of strength, secure with the Lord of the Throne.

81:21 Obeyed and trustworthy.

81:22 Your friend isn’t insane.

81:23 He saw him on the clear horizon.

81:24 Nor is he withholding knowledge of the unseen.

81:25 It is not the word of an outcast devil.

81:26 So, where are you going?

81:27 This is a message to all of humanity.

81:28 For whoever among you wills to be upright.

81:29 And you won’t will, unless Allah, the Lord of all Universes, wills.
