Al-Inshiqaq

Quran Text — Al-Inshiqaq

84:1 When the sky fractures.

84:2 And obeys its Lord, as it must.

84:3 And when the earth is expanded.

84:4 And casts out whatever in it, and empties itself.

84:5 And it obeys its Lord, as it should.

84:6 O man, you are laboring towards your Lord, and you will surely encounter Him.

84:7 As for the one who is given his record in his right hand.

84:8 He will face an easy accounting.

84:9 And will return to his family happily.

84:10 But as for the one who is given his record behind his back.

84:11 He will call for annihilation.

84:12 And will be thrust into a roaring inferno.

84:13 He was once joyful among his family.

84:14 He thought he would never return.

84:15 Yet, his Lord was watchful over him.

84:16 So, I swear by the twilight’s glow.

84:17 And by the night, and all it encloses.

84:18 And by the moon, when it becomes full.

84:19 You will ascend from stage to stage.

84:20 So why, then, do they not believe?

84:21 And when the Quran is read to them, they don’t prostrate?

84:22 But those who disbelieve are in denial.

84:23 And Allah certainly knows what they are hiding.

84:24 So, give them the news of a severe punishment.

84:25 But for those who believe and do righteous deeds, theirs is an unending reward.
