Quran Text — Al-Buruj

85:1 By the sky with the constellations.

85:2 And by the Promised Day.

85:3 And by the witness and what is witnessed.

85:4 Perished were the companions of the ditch.

85:5 With the intensely fueled fire.

85:6 While they were seated around it.

85:7 Witnessing what they were doing to the believers.

85:8 They resented them simply because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Worthy of Praise.

85:9 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah is ever watchful over everything.

85:10 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting, will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.

85:11 However, those who believe and do righteous deeds will have gardens through which rivers flow—this is the great success.

85:12 Your Lord’s onslaught is severe.

85:13 It is He who initiates and repeats.

85:14 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving.

85:15 The Owner of the majestic throne.

85:16 The Doer of whatever He intends.

85:17 Did the accounts of the soldiers reach you?

85:18 Of Pharaoh and Thamud?

85:19 Yet, those who disbelieve are in denial.

85:20 But Allah surrounds them from all directions.

85:21 It’s a Noble Quran.

85:22 In a well-guarded tablet.
